Pool Renovation and Travertine Deck
A renovation is where piecemeal work shows most: a new surface beside a tired deck simply moves the eye to whatever was not touched. Surface, tile, spillway, and the deck around them were renewed as one project.
How this one was planned
The Challenge
Renovations are usually sold in pieces — resurface now, tile later, deck when the budget allows. Split that way, each finished piece highlights the one next to it that has not been done.
The Plan
Surface, waterline tile, and the spillway were scoped together with the travertine deck around them, so the finishes were selected against one another and sequenced in a single pass.
The Outcome
The renewed pool and the deck read as one surface, because they were replaced as one project rather than in stages.
Scope we self-performed
The build
-
New travertine coping meeting the renewed deck.
-
The spillway rebuilt as part of the same scope.
